1. BE A GOOD TEAMMATE.
Always look to support each other — on the court, from the bench — all the time! 

Tech Tip: Use the triple threat positon. It’s the best position from which to shoot, drive or pass. 

2. HUSTLE! Give 100% always. You don’t have to be perfect, you just need to try your best.


Tech Tip: Know your way around. Know all the court locations — baselines, top of the key, blocks, elbow and wing. 

3. COMMUNICATE.
Talk! Be loud and clear. Let your teammates know when you need help. Listen, you can’t communicate if you don’t listen.

Tech Tip: Keys to defense: Slide your feet. Use proper spacing from opponent. Anticipate. See the ball and your opponent. 

4. BE A GOOD SPORT.
Be respectful of your teammates, opponents and refs. It matters how you play. 

Tech Tip: Develop your “handles.” Learn to dribble equally well with both hands. You’ll be twice as hard to guard! 

5. BE POSITIVE.
Believe every shot is going in — that you will get every loose ball and rebound. You can always come from behind if you believe you can. Positivity is infectious. 

Tech Tip: Be a great passer. Be able to perform both chest passes as well as bounce passes. 

6. LOOK FOR WAYS TO CONTRIBUTE.
Look to make an extra pass. Play great defense on your opponent. Cheer when you are on the bench — it all adds up to successes. 

Tech Tip: Move without the ball. Cut to get open. Set screens. Use proper footwork. 

7. ANTICIPATE. Think ahead so you can be in the right place at the right time.


Tech Tip: Lay it up and in. Work on your left and right hand layups. Use proper footwork. 

8. ALWAYS BE IMPROVING.
You can always get better with practice, time and effort — it’s up to you! 

Tech Tip: Shoot it like Curry. Develop proper shooting form for more made shots. 

9. HAVE GRIT. Play through adversity. Bounce back from a missed shot or mistake. Keep trying your best! 

Tech Tip: Grab the rebound! Look to box out. 

10. HAVE FUN!
Basketball is a game. It’s meant to be fun. Be focused and try your hardest, but try to enjoy yourself while playing basketball!


Tech Tip: Perfect your pivots. Learn to pivot left and right as well as back and front.
